Sweet & Sour Shrimp

Hello, everyone! I have a fun recipe to share with you today! It is Wine-Battered Sweet and Sour Shrimp over Hacked Shrimp Ramen! Okay, stay with me. Believe me, this is delicious.

So, the first thing you need to do is grab some cooked shrimp and defrost them if they aren’t already. Set these aside. In a bowl, combine flour with a little olive oil, and mix together with a fork. Add salt and pepper and a little bit of garlic powder. Now, for the fun part! Drizzle in white cooking wine, mixing throughout, until the batter is the consistency of pancake mix. Preheat oil in a small saucepan or even a deep skillet. Drop some of the shrimp into the batter and stir to coat.

Meanwhile,bring water to a boil in a small pot and cook the Ramen until softened. Drain except for a small amount of water, and add the shrimp seasoning packet. Stir. Add teriyaki sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sesame seeds, and stir. Allow to cook on low heat.

Once the oil is hot enough, place the shrimp in the oil, holding each one over the batter bowl to let the excess drop off beforehand. Let them cook until beautiful golden brown; drain on paper towels. Once all of the shrimp are cooked, drizzle store bought or homemade sweet and sour sauce over them and toss gently to coat. Serve the Ramen on a plate topped with the shrimp.
